Has anyone ever won a AG contest?

Okay, I won one lucky contest, but that's about it. I put in about 6 or so raffle tickets at the local Kit's Care and Share Party, and I won Kit's Bedroom collection (minus the trunk) and a few party favors like some of the Reading posters. Fortunately, I had the PJs, bed, and bedding already, so I traded them in for LINDSEY, the stars and stripes PJs, and the Field Trip outfit. I was so grateful I got that bed already because this was the only way I got Lindsey!

We won Kaya and Tatlo from our local Hallmark a few years ago.

It was a funny story. We had been going there EVERY day for weeks, entering every day. Only dh and I could enter...it was adults only. So, finally the day of the contest came around. We were out all day and stopped by Hallmark in late afternoon. "Did someone win?" we asked. "Oh, yes. We called and left a message on their answering machine." "Oooooh..." said the girls and I dejectedly. We were sooooo sad. "Did they have a little girl?" we asked. "Yes, I think so," the clerk said, noticing now how sad we were. We were relieved that at least one of the other little girls we had seen entering the contest had won.

So, we went home very dejectedly, knowing we'd probably never get Kaya at that point. When we got home, GUESS WHAT THE MESSAGE ON OUR ANSWERING MACHINE SAID? "You won Kaya!"

Oh, I thought we'd die from excitement. We RUSHED back up to Hallmark, nearly knocking the doors off the store and screamed, "It was us! It was us!" The girls at Hallmark were happy for us, but also glad to get us out of there...lol!

I have pictures of my dds proudly carrying Kaya (we also got the whole big cardboard backdrop she was connected to and everything) into the house that evening.

I have never won a contest involving AG [img]frown.gif[/img] . I never give up, though!

We have a $10 raffle going on at work right now.. its to win an AG today doll " I think its #21" and 20 outfits worth $400.... I havent entered yet, but thinking I may this week! [img]smile.gif[/img]

I think that the contest that some people are talking about is mentioned in the new holiday catalog, the one that is really thick. I haven't gotten it yet, but after reading a couple of Aryn's post, I am pretty sure that when she says "Wish book", she means that new big catalog.
